Back here in Manilla and one of the ever present symbols of the Philippines is the jovial Jollibee character. The local answer to MacDonalds you find this fast-food outlet on just about every street corner of Manila. Cheap as chips and chocked full of sugar its seems to be a staple of the local diet. We have resisted the underwhelming temptation to sample the menu, we just marvel at the happy little Bee inviting one and all in for a sugar high.
